but imo it just doesn't square with the level of complete and utter offensive ineptness the rams have shown in some of their recent outings.... in their last 10 games, dating back to the super bowl, they've played 3 games (pats, niners, steelers) in which they've scored a total of just 2 field goals and 1 offensive td on a combined 38 offensive drives, how is that even possible?

hell, the hoyer-led colts hung 22 offensive points on the steelers, the fitz-led friggin' dolphins hung 14 on them - mcvay's goff-led rams? 3... again, how is this even possible?

i'm not remotely close to giving up on mcvay, goff or most of the other offensive players for that matter, but in 3 of their last 10 games the rams offense has looked beyond bad, i'd venture to say they've even looked foolish, just completely lost and overmatched, it's really been hard to watch, or understand.

Agree with this sentiment. McVay struggling against top tier defense's is becoming a trend.

Yeah, with 2 weeks to prepare for one opponent and 8 games of film, can't blame it on failure to execute because the OL is average or below average.

I agree 100% with your perspective. I'm not to the point I'd make wild claims or ultimatums like others so, I like your level-headed observances and am in step with you.

That is dead on accurate Now, what needs to be done to fix it?

I'm still trying to quantify the current Gurley situation. We had Saffold/Sullivan the whole post season last year - an intact and good OLine. Yet, we're seeing the same weird use/production of Gurley and sporadic lack of production by Goff. It's all so confounding.

You cannot take Saffold, Sullivan and Gurley out of an offense, coupled with a blueprint defense being tossed around,, and not expect struggle.
We be toasted...

that's my point, the rams offense hasn't "struggled" in some of these games, instead they failed miserably, completely, to the point of embarrassment... take today, 15 possessions that ended in 10 turnovers on punts or downs, 15 whopping possessions that yielded just one field goal, one converted first down on 14 third down tries - that's not "struggling", that's abject failure.

When they were good, they were very, very good; when they were bad they were horrid.

Seems apropo.

Beyond pathetic. Makes Jeff Fisher look like an offensive whiz
