This kid is rated off the charts. THE stud OLBER in this draft. Several teams will be making their moves up for QB's again. Maybe he falls to somewhere around 3-5.
He might cost us (in draft capital) almost what Goff did. But we wouldn't need to pay him huge bucks for at least four years. The four biggest personnel decisions we have to make next year are on Joyner (I think we will re-sign him); Talib, Suh and Saffold. I think ALL 3 of the latter ones would be willing to do a home town discount, at this later stage of their careers with all of them looking for a ring (ok, Talib has one, but he got it working for Wade). If Shields works out fine, then we may say good-bye to Talib anyway.
I'm warming up to this, especially, if we think Noteboom will be our starting LT in a couple of years. Then focus on oline and QB depth later in this draft.

I was thinking staying down for an Edge Rusher, but as the season progressed, I am thinking, about this guy if he comes out.

Jack, I've totally reversed course on Bosa. He will be a stud be we have a LOT more D needs than I thought we did going into this year.
