Yeah I guess after 76 it became more and more rare that team mates stayed together very long.
Thanks Curt Flood
Lol
How about Palmiero and Juan Gonazales? They had to have put up some monster numbers together.
In between Vitamin B-12 shots....

They were teammates from 89-93, again in 99 and in 2002-03. Over those years they had 427 homers togethers; Palmiero 236; Gonzalez 192. Good enough for #14 on my list just ahead of A Rod (284) and Posada (140) with 424 from 2004-2011.

Alright, I can't take it anymore!!! The #1 teammates on my list are Hank Aaron and Eddie Matthews. They were teammates from 1954-1966. In 1954 Aaron was 20 years old, Matthews 22. They remained teammates through 1966, the first year the Braves played in Atlanta. They had 863 homers as teammates (Aaron 442; Matthews 421). Matthews was the only player to play for the Braves in Boston, Milwaukee and Atlanta. In 1967 he was traded to the Houston Astros, along with Sandy Alomar (and Arnie Umbach) for Dave Nicholson and Bob Bruce. In those 13 seasons together, the Braves went to the World Series just twice (1957-58). They did finish 2nd in the NL (8 team league) in 1955-56 and 1959-60. So over a 6 year period they were one of the top teams in the NL with those two sluggers. Ironically, in those 6 years they also had Warren Spahn (143-84; 3.05) and Lew Burdette (124-79; 3.37) as the 1-2 punch on the mound. The two of them went 334-210 from 1954-1962 but the team finished 4th in 61 and 5th in 62. Why? I dunno.

Funny thing is how they lined up so far:

#18 Ramierez/Thome
#19 McGwire/Canseco
#20 Bonds/Kent
#21 Sosa/Grace
#25 Palmiero/Gonzalez
#26 Rodriguez/Posada

A lot of abusers out of the top 15. Only McGwire shared his secret????
