NFL announces 2016 compensatory picks for the league, Rams get none

The NFL on Friday announced that 13 teams will receive compensatory picks for the 2016 NFL draft. The Los Angeles Rams are not one of those teams.

The highest round awarded came in the third round with the Detroit Lions, New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos receiving them.

Under the rules for compensatory draft selections, a team losing more or better compensatory free agents than it acquires in the previous year is eligible to receive compensatory draft picks, according to the NFL. Also, per a rule change by the teams in 2015, these picks cannot be traded until 2017.

Since compensatory draft picks were awarded beginning in 1994, the Rams have received a total of 31 picks.

Bummer we don't have any extra picks but being we're the youngest team in the league and all, and now that we're so far under the Cap, should be the year we make our mark in Free Agency!
