So the Rams current set of Offensive Tackles are well they got the job done in 2023 ... but how many of them will be premier performers three years from now? How many will be premier performers in 2024?

According to Dave Brugler, there is a LOT of talent in this season's draft ... I can see many of the "1st's" dropping down into the 2nd round.

All of this talent available means there will be some very good vets on waivers and as FA's ... Do the Rams go for a solid FA? or do they wait for a very good OT to fall to them in the mid rounds of the draft? What the hell, why not go for blue chip at #19?

I'd love to know what the Rams strategy is at this position.

1. JOE ALT Notre Dame 1st
2. OLU FASHANU Penn State 1st
3. JC LATHAM Alabama 1st
4. TALIESE FUAGA Oregon State 1st

I think they might be targeting Alt in a trade up. a Jax is on a 1-year deal. Boom is a swing only and Havs is getting long in the tooth. Have to believe they are hitting at least one from your list. At least.

I haven't watched his highlights.

Is he that much better than the rest of the pack?

I don’t have time to watch enough tape of all of them. He is the consensus “can’t miss” blue chip guy. But there are a few others that are very good. Only a couple project to high level LT. But who really knows. The Rams only have 2 LTs under contract through this season unless McClendon can play on the left side. I think he and Bruss are strictly RTs. So there is a need for sure.

That would be stunning (2) considering how McSnead has almost ignored the OLine drafts in their time together. Not counting Snead/Fisher wiffs, maybe Avila opened McVay’s eyes to what an OLine could/should look like. I would be all for it. It would severely impinge our ability to round out the D (DT, Edge, CB) but it would extend Stafford’s career and he clearly wants a 2nd Lombardi!

Left and Right Tackles (for now and for the future) need to be addressed by FA or the draft. I don't want our weak links to be on the ends.

It will be interesting to see how the Rams handle this situation.
