Looking at the signings of what we have at this moment,

With the 2024 schedule:

We play 10 games that we should win:

Seattle: Twice
AZ: Twice
Vikings (QB/Sam Darnold)
GB
Raiders
Bears
Saints
Patriots

7 games that will be a competition:

9ers twice
Eagles
Bills
Miami
Lions
Jets (Since they have Aaron Rodgers)

If we win three of those games,

That should give us 13 wins!!!

Absolutely chill inducing. Makes me thing the Rams are tearing up for the best LT. lol. Gotta protect this dude at all costs. And I’m more convinced now the Rams are going offense and trading up in the first. This team goes as Staff and the O go. I know we need edge and DL and some other things. And we will get them. But unless Latu or Verse etc are rated much higher than WR or OT, I am convinced that’s where the Rams are spending that first pick.

Bro, they have AJ at LT, are you throwing him to the curb?
Then they have NB as a backup, as the sixth man.

You are under estimating AJ 's abilities.
During games, I really concentrate on the OL,
I thought he did an excellent job playing LT.

Even the game against the Browns & Ravens,
he shut down Garrett, and the Raven's edge rusher.
Those were the two best defense in the league at that time frame.

The problem with our OL was at center,
the pressure coming up the middle.
They have now solved that problem.
They are set with all of the starters at the OL.

I feel if they trade up, it will be for an edge,
Unless they start to fall down in the draft,
but I doubt that.

The only way they don't go for an edge rusher,
if they can't find anyone to trade up with.
So, then they might draft for offense.

It's nice to see Matt locked in. But I still see that this could be his last year. What I see in his interviews is first and foremost, Matt is a husband and father. He has financially secured the future of his family. His kids are now at the age where he's going to want to be a full-time father to them. If anything interviews have shown Matt throughout his career how much of a physical toll the NFL takes on him. IMO Kelly's illness has left a mark on him where he knows he needs to retire in good health.

I think the Rams know this as much as they knew Donald was going to retire this year. It wasn't a surprise to the Rams that AD walked away this year. I feel it's the same with Stafford. That is why it wouldn't surprise me if they traded up with either the Chargers or the Bears to get a QB. At 9 there will likely be Penix, Nix or McCarthy (perhaps all three) still on the board. If they trade up to 5 I think they will take Penix because he is perhaps the best of all the QBs in this draft at reading defenses. That is a must to start at QB in McVay's offenses, including his current revised version. Both Nix and McCarthy need a year of solid coaching and film room work to improve their reading skills.

Outside of the first round, it wouldn't surprise me if they picked Michael Pratt. I see a lot of Purdy in Pratt. He's a pocket passer who goes through his progressions and generally makes good decisions. Pratt can throw with good accuracy and ball placement out to the mid-ranges (10-20 yds) where McVay's offense cooks. Pratt can throw deeper but needs to improve his arm strength which is simply a matter of PT and technique (i.e. good coaching).

I thought it was really good but nothing jumped out at me like, wow i never knew that. And a lot was mic'd up footage we'd seen before. Still pretty great just don't think i learned or saw anything particularly new.

One of the ways you know Stafford is getting near the end of his career is he's doing stuff like this, expanding his brand for whatever comes next. A formerly private player suddenly not so private. Not unlike AD. Stafford would be great at media stuff.

We know he's coming back for 2024. How many more after, we'll see. I'm sure it depends on his health and if the Rams did win the SB in 2024 that might figure too...

I understand for those who want to draft a QB,
and you are thinking about the future.

But as a veteran player,
Your goal is to win a ring for that upcoming season.

By drafting a QB in the first round, you are telling your vets,
we are giving up this season and looking forward to the future.

That is doing a disservice to your vets.
Especially if you're only one piece away from being a total complete contender.

AD even mentioned that they need another edge rusher.

Second, Stafford said it in his video,
he has one ring,
and he wants to win one or two more rings.
By that statement, he wants to play at least two more years.

That being said, it is not the year to be drafting a QB,
the RAMs should be looking for that final piece at the edge position. IMO.

I'm not a fan of drafting your QB of the future and letting him sit. We've all seen how well it can work so obviously not a horrible idea, just not fan myself. You don't know if your guy is gonna pan out, rookie contracts are short, these Rams are more of a live in the moment team and it works for them.

But i don't think it would be sending a bad message to the team if they did. Hell, Rams don't usually even have a 1st round pick. If they used one on a player who isn't expected to start for a couple/few years, don't think it would be a big deal.

But like i said, Rams seem to be a live in the moment team and it works. I'd stick with that...
