Ahkello Witherspoon is a good signing. He is not a legit starter, but can provide some really good depth.

Yep, I was more speaking to the unhappiness overall with this play. The Steeler fans are big fans...

I think we might develop DBs better than a lot of teams here and our scheme might fit this guy very well. Can’t complain about vet depth in a very young room. Is he any worse than D Long or T Hill?? Probably not. He ain’t Ramsey but few are. Durant is the rising star in this group, me thinks.

Anybody seen what Los Ramos are paying Witherspoon for 2023?

Per overthecap.com CB Witherspoon, the 2023 Steeler UFA was on Pittsburgh's 2022 books for:
$4 Million, $2.965 in Guarantees :|

OTC has the same numbers for Sony Michel while Spotrac has nothing on either of them yet. Not sure what to make of that...

Vet minimum.....

$780,000 with 1 accrued season
$850,000 with 2
$920,000 with 3
$990,000 with 4 to 6 years
$1,075,000 for 7 years plus

Does OTC know what they got?
Witherspoon has 6 years of service, Sony Michel 5.

I'm guessing either those are placeholder numbers at OTC or Spotrac in on vacation.

But normally when contract details become available, there are a few people on Twitter who tweet the details. I've been traveling some too but i haven't seen it...

One other thing; competition. This dude has 6 seasons and some of them at a pretty high level. Rochelle, I’m talkin to YOU.

The same with Sony.....competition and veteran leadership. When these kids see the way these vets compete, it should rub off if they're worth their salt. It's also a barometer to measure the youngsters. Whether these vets make the final 53 or not, the kids should have a pretty good idea what it takes to be an NFL player. And they should have a solid work ethic and drive. If not, then they're gone. McVay and Snead have been around the block a few times....they know what they're doing.
