Well, I want Goff to succeed. If obtaining Gurley helps, good for both of them. Sort of a bastardized Brady/Gronk situation.

Gurley's receiving skills and goal-line prowess would make him a very good 3rd down/situational back, even if limited by his knee.

Not sure he has that kind of mentality, though. He's been a No. 1 back for a long time.

Gurley is washed. I can’t see why anyone would want him. Apparently Detroit is as big a joke as ever

Tell us how you really feel. I hate it when you hold back. :lol2:

(You may be right, by the way.)

Lesson: Never put anything past the Lions, Jets, Bengals or Houston. If there is a way to screw things up, they will find it. :D :D :lol2: :lol2:

If there's a franchise caliber QB in next year's draft the Lions might not wanna try and improve their chances of winning more this year. I think they view Goff as a temporary stop gap QB during the rebuild. I do wish Goff well. But he's gonna be in a tough situation. He hasn't shown he can lift talent around him. And he's gonna be surrounded by subpar talent. If he plays decent that will be impressive. And also bode well for his future after his time in Detroit.
