Missed throws.

Dropped passes.

Missed tackles.

Blown coverages.

Penalties.

Sometimes it’s not about talent, game planning or coaching.

Sometimes the better team does not win.

Mistakes will get you every time.

1st series - Missed a wide open Kupp
3rd series - Missed extra point
4th series - 3rd and 2, false start Whit, 3rd and 7, fail, punt
5th series - 3rd and 1, false start Whit, 3rd and 6, fail, FG
6th series - 3rd and 4, missed wide open Kupp for TD, punt
7th series - 3rd and goal from 2, dropped TD and then Int
8th series - 3rd and 10, false start Woods, 3rd and 15, fail, punt

So yeah, virtually all on the players. The usual once a game call a smoke screen on 3rd and 10, but not much wrong with playcalling. D played well enough in 2nd half to win.

Robert Woods 4 catches on 10 targets, whilst Cooper Kupp caught only 3 of his 9 targets! :? :arrow2: :oops2:

Didn't we just back up the Brink's Truck at both those two Ram WRs homes recently ? :roll2:

They both looked pretty ordinary tonight sportsfans!!! :?

Well, as painful as it felt, in the end, it was only a one possession game with one more down to go with our O finishing the game one way or another.

Nothing new under the Sean but come on we have to fix this.

I'm still wondering what this is about, for the longest time I was thinking it was McVay seeing something in the coverage he didn't like and trying to save the down, but recently it seems like he's calling them because Jared takes so long to set, or is unaware of the play clock and Sean is calling TO's to prevent a penalty. Maybe a bit of both? I totally agree though, our Time Out management had got to get better, or at least smarter.

If they make the plays listed by Ingrid Cold, those used time outs don't amount to dick. Sometimes saving the 5 yards keeps what turns out to be a scoring drive alive. I don't really have an issue with using them. Don't be in position to "need" them at the end.

We missed a golden opportunity tonight by losing this game to the Niners.

We were pretty healthy, whilst SF had like 18 guys injured, including studs:
Nick Bosa
Dee Ford
Solomon Thomas
Richard Sherman
Kwon Alexander
Ziggy Ansah
Weston Richburg

QUESTION:
Given the way we played tonight....
Would the final score had been only 24-16 for SF....
if most of those injured 49er stars had suited up against us tonight?? :?2:

Some things that pizzed me off tonight, besides the blown golden opportunity to put SF behind us by 3 games instead of just the one they are now....3-3 versus our 4-2:

Goff had a recent birthday. Maybe next time sleep-off the Tequila Hangover better ace! You threw like shit tonight!

Brandon Staley.....we have stud CBs in Darius Williams and Jalen Ramsey, even Troy Hill.....SO WHY THE FUCK PLAY THAT SOFT FUCKING ZONE SO FUCKING MUCH, ESPECIALLY IN THE FIRST HALF OF ALL OUR GAMES, HUH??!! :x :arrow2: :evil2: WHY NOT MAN-UP AND DO PRESS COVERAGE......AND MAYBE EVEN BLITZ ONCE IN A WHILE HUH!!?? :idea2: ESPECIALLY BLITZING HEAVY ON A QB LIKE GAROPOLLO WHO IS NURSING A SORE ANKLE HUH???!!! :? :arrow2: :?2: FYI, Your soft zone yeilded JimmyG a QB Rating of 124.3!!! :idea2: :arrow2: :roll2:
NBC graphic late game showed that Rams D had lowest QB Hurry % tonight since the Jeff Fisher era! :o
....and was it really Second Half adjustments that limited SF scoring in the Second Half TONIGHT.....or was it because of SF RB Mostert being out?
Oh yeah, great idea Brandon to let George Kittle run free tonight....he was only 7 catches on 10 targets for 109 yds and 15.6 YPC and that 44yd TD. :oops2: Some of us thought maybe Ramsey might take Kittle all night, but whatever....

OH and Hey Jalen Mult-Millionaire Ramsey!.......do you really need to set the fucking Guinness Book record for longest yawn on National TV????? :roll2:

And, Andrew Whitworth, with his postgame BullShit line about "this type of loss is easy to overcome because it's just about cleaning up poor execution."....or words to that effect. :roll2:
ME: NOPE!!! SF wanted the game more than us! On both sides of the ball! Period. Full Stop! :x :arrow2: :evil2: SF WAS MORE PHYSICAL TONIGHT!! :idea2:

Anybody else notice that on D we tackled like St. Bernadette's School For Blind Girls, and that the only guy on Offense who left it all on the field was Darrell Henderson?? :?2: :arrow2: :roll2: The rest of the O looked flat, unfocussed (including Whit who apparently cannot learn a fucking SnapCount....TWICE!!!), and lackadaisical...talking to Kupp & Woods, etc.
Those are NOT good traits to display, especially going into an away- football game against a desperate team that is playing for their season!!! :idea2: Dah!!! :oops2:

Then when we finally DO run it down the 49ers throats with Hendo shredding the SF D, what-do-we-do near the goal-line??? :shock2: We pull a fucking bone-headed mis-step a la Pete Carroll with his infamous Marshawn Lynch SB boner non-call!!!!????!!! :roll2: That was "bad playcalling" right there!

Sadly for me, this game's playcalling reminded me of McVay versus Bellicheck in the SB two years ago!

Hopefully Staley gets it together, because we still have 10 fucking more games to go in 2020........and we need to win about 6 or 7 of those to lock up a Playoff spot.

Here's an idea for Tuesday for Staley:
PRACTICE "TACKLING FUNDAMENTALS". :idea2: :arrow2: :!2: :!2:

Here's an idea for McVay for tomorrow: CUT SAM SLOMAN and by doing that, you take a shot across the bows of some of your complacent veterans who seem to have been reading too many of their press clippings.

Like I posted up above: we blew a golden opportunity against a weakened and injured Historical ArchRival tonight. :cry2:

It's a shame......but maybe we learn from it and the sting of this loss gets us to play tougher and more physical...

...because we got owned tonight IMO! :idea2: :arrow2: :cry2:

Now let's beat Chicago next Monday in Our House!!!!!!!! :!2: :arrow2: 8-)

End of rant!
