Since the 2016 draft, the question has been Wentz or Goff. But let's look at the head to head. The Eagles are 2-0 against Goff and McVay's Rams. Wentz started one game and left with the Rams leading 35-31. Foles relieved him and brought Philly back. Foles started and won the other. Some say 'the Eagles have McVay's number' and while that may or may not be true, it's definitely not because of Wentz. Perhaps this mini-rivalry (Wentz/Goff....Philly/L.A.) is much like the Rams/Niners rivalry of the 80's where home field advantage didn't exist. The Rams were 6-4 in SF and SF was 8-2 in LA. Philly is 2-0 in LA while this is the first time McVay's Rams play in Philly.

And, I despise the local Philly sportcasters (as I probably would any in other cities if my team weren't the home team they loved to love). They brought up the point the Eagles have a 6 game winning streak over the Rams. Wins in 2005 (the end of the Martz era, height of the Reid era), 2008 (Linehan), 2011 (Spagnuolo), 2014 (Fisher) and twice against McVay (2017, 2018). To repeat an oft stated theory, I say, "we're due".

Wentz sucks legit. He’s a turnover waiting to happen.

Thank God or Fisher for taking Goff over him.

That wasn't a Fisher by choice,,,
He knew he was out of the picture in the future prior to the draft...

That was Snead's pick,,,
There were words from the local news behind close doors that Fisher wanted Wentz... he was more of Fisher's style of a player,,, reminded him of the late McNair...

If Goff continues to play like he did today, the Rams will be in good shape. He struggled a bit from the pocket after his hot start but eventually got back into a rhythm. Overcame the missed TD and later threw a dime that helped the Rams regain momentum.

The 2 game line:

Wentz 50 of 85 (58.8%); 512 yds (6.02); 2 TDs, 4 Ints; 64.4 Rating
Goff 40 of 58 (68.9%); 542 yds (9.34); 3 TDs, 1 Int; 108.5 Rating

And that 1 pick by Goff should have been negated by penalty. Without that his rating would be 117.7 :shock2:
