Yes, that Mike Singletary ...

Mike Singletary might be the only coach in the history of football that found coaching against NFL teams easier than high school ones.

The former 49ers head man stepped down as the football coach of the Texas high school Trinity Christian Academy-Addison on Thursday after going a combined 1-21 in two seasons at the school, including a winless season in 2019.

Singletary coached in San Francisco from 2008-2010 after taking over for Mike Nolan, going a mediocre 18-22 during his tenure.

Liked his "fire" as a player. One of the best of his era for sure. Looks like he just isn't head coach material. Maybe better off as "position" coach where his motivational skills can be applied at a one on one level instead of a group.

Well I for one am happy for those high schoolers that may now go forward with better self esteem from winning more often.

Can you imagine being a high school kid and coming back to the sideline after another blowout? Most probably soiled their shorts walking up to the Ol' Coach. Sheit!! :shock2:
