They are both team guys for sure. Neither are selfish. Personally, and I may catch some heat. I would go Dak. Just never been a fan of Goff.

I think they both have "flaws" that they need to improve on. Goff has had some games (K.C and Minny) that Dak has never come close to in the NFL. Both need to handle "pressure" better and cut down on mistakes.

However, as we know from getting rid of Fisher and bringing in McVay, a good offense and coach can go a long way. I think Goff has the advantage here. How would Dak do under McVay or another good coach?

Having said that, I will go with Goff based on his "flashes" and making throws I am not sure Dak can make. I also think Goff has a higher ceiling than Dak. I am glad Goff is a Ram.

Colin puts too much emphasis on measurables, Josh Allen has a great arm, Darnold was a #1 pick, etc. I know Allen got to the playoffs last year but he’s still a project. Dak may not be worthy of highest qb in the league money but he’s better than half the guys on this list.
I’ll give guys who’ve been to the Sb like Ryan and Goff the nod over Dak, but guys like Stafford and Carr, who haven’t lived up to expectations I’ll take Dak.

I know I'm being a homer, but being as objective as I possibly can, I take Goff. Goff has passing skills as good as the elite guys. He just didn't handle adversity when the run game and pass blocking went south. Dak hasn't had to deal with that. The line has always been good and he's had a top tier running back his whole career. Give him and Dak the same circumstances and I believe Goff would be much better.

Edit. I posted before I watched the video. I'm a little surprised he took that many guys over Prescott. To me, arm talent is great but availability is important too. I wouldn't take Wentz over Dak for that that reason. But I do agree with most of that.

When it comes to arm talent Dak would be in the bottom half of the starting quarterbacks in my opinion. So would Lamar Jackson but he does one thing great. He's a terrific running threat. But I'd like to see how he fares if his run game isn't as strong as it was. I mean giving it to the running backs. That run game was very good last season.

Well to be fair, the qbs who HAVE handled it and played well when their OLs fell apart due to extensive injuries makes for a very, very short list.

To fairly compare, I think you have to look at the supporting cast.

When Goff had a solid OL and Gurley was playing well, he put up big numbers.
When Prescott has his OL in tact and Zeke is on the field, his numbers are very good.

Both have struggled when their supporting cast has struggled.

None of that is very surprising.

In the end, I think its pretty close, but I think Goff may have the higher upside as he, in my opinion, has better arm talent.

in 3 of the rams losses last year goff led the offense to an average of 31 points per game (29, 31 and 34), had the rams won those 3 games they would have finished at 12-4, won the nfc west, and reached the postseason for the third consecutive year.

when the rams inked goff to the huge contract i had zero prob with it, and am very happy that he's our qb going forward.

dak has played behind arguably the nfl's best oline since he arrived yet he's led the cowboys to just a 12th ranking in offensive scoring over the last 3 years (rams 3rd) - he's also had the benefit of having a defense that has ranked 8th, 10th, 8th and 11th in offensive points allowed.

if dak was a ram right now instead of goff, and jockeying for the contract that's been reported, i'd vote let him walk.
