#4 is true. When I was 19 I lived in South Africa for about 6 months with my family. I was once driving from Bloemfontein to Port Elizabeth when I got a speeding ticket on an open highway for going 100 km/hour. I defy anybody to drive less than 100km/hour from Bloemfontein to anywhere. Anyway, they wanted about $300 for the ticket, which was an enormous sum to me in 1977. So I fled the country (got on a plane and left, as scheduled). Never heard from them again, but I've never been back, either.

LOL. I have a similar story regarding a parking ticket I received in Maui during my honeymoon in 1993. I guess I could go back now.
