again, thanks gang, much appreciated!

just got back from florida and have to say that i'm pretty stunned by how much i enjoyed the place, it was a great time, nothing but uber friendly people, beautiful beaches, great neighborhoods and of course a golfer's paradise (didn't golf tho), it completely dispelled the negative image i had of it (for whatever odd reasons).... we landed in west palm beach and spent time in stuart, vero beach and port st. lucie... we also chowed on some great seafood and cuban food... moreover it was refreshing to see real estate, beautiful homes, that didn't start at $1.6m, i.e. folks living very, very comfortably without having to be steve jobs!

Florida is great THIS time of year.
Just don't go inland past the 95 or attempt to drive on it without a helmet.. lol
Being there in the summer / hurricane season can be brutal..

But beside the bugs, gators, iguanas and New Yorkers (Mawrie, take me to Flawrida) it's awesome. Especially this time of year.

My plans now include Decembers in Hawaii and Januarys in Florida / Bahamas.

I dig Islamorada and Key West too but the 'Treasure Coast' (where you were) is stunning from Miami to Jupiter and beyond.
