It's true that Cousins couldn't pull it out but he had a good game and threw 2 4th quarter TD's compared to his teammates causing 3 turnovers in the 4th quarter. Seems wrong to pile on Cousins in this case.

Who's piling on? Stating that he's 0-8 on MNF, 1-9 vs teams with winning records as a Viking and that he didn't come thru on the last drive is piling on? Seems pretty factual.
Are we supposed to be discussing how "unfortunate" life is for him?
Dayum, I saw Goff get crucified despite throwing for 500 yards and putting up 34 points in a loss

Is this who we are referring to?
My favorite Cousin.

How do we know that? There are 11 players on offense, is the Viking Line as bad as the Rams line this year? I think the WR's are pretty close is Thielen is playing.

I think I qualified my question pretty clearly. Maybe Goff doesn't start slowly with the Vikings like he has with the Rams but I don't see their situation as clearly better so as to come to that conclusion. He'd be in roughly the same situation in terms of overall quality.

The whole purpose of this thread is to pile onto Cousins. Pointing to Cousins as failing to win against another good team is misplaced in this case. Criticizing him for not having 3+ TD drives in the 4th quarter doesn't seem fair. Especially when it was his RB, WR and returner that put the team in such a poor position into the 4th quarter.

It's a pity you can't be as charitable toward the Rams' quarterback.

(Sorry, I meant to say, the Rams' CURRENT quarterback.)

good grief - so during the mnf game, when the booth guys mentioned that cousins was 0-7 in mnf games, was their "whole purpose" to "pile onto cousins" as well? :roll2:

in other news, not only is cousins now 1-9 against winning teams since joining the vikes, but he's now also 5-30 against againt winning teams in his career, leading his teams to an average of 19.3 offensive points per game in those outings. :shock2:

somehow i think goff has a record better than 5-30 against winning teams, even if you include the fish year...

Going off of just final record for the year, I’m seeing 11-10 vs teams with winning records including 0-4 in his rookie year.
Of course Goff had the advantage of taking over a Fish led team who was 7-9 the year before while Cousins was saddled on a team coming off a meager 13-3 year
