Peters traded!

I'll say it since no one else has. Peters was a much better player down the stretch than Ramsey imo. And he re-signed for decent money.

The Rams should have kept Peters and the picks. Again imo.

Peters gambled too much and got beat too often. It seemed every time there was a big pass play against our D, it was Peters' guy. I know not "every" time just the way it seemed since he came so highly advertised.

Besides what we saw from him, his numbers were the worst of his career with the Rams.

His 12 passes defensed in 22 games with the Rams sucked big time. He had 10 with Baltimore in 10 games (perhaps raising his play after being traded away a 2nd time?). He had 46 his first two years in KC. 9 solo tackles in 6 games with the Rams in 2019? Horrible. 31 in ten games with Baltimore?

Yeah he played better 'down the stretch with Baltimore' than he did in 6 games with the Rams but let's see if that continues. I'll take the under.

The Raiders seem to want to distance themselves from this type of dressing up ... not sure if they'll be able to.

Irresponsible thugs tend to be less successful in life, thus are less able to afford to go to games as the ticket prices continue to climb. Maybe that's the only good part of rising ticket prices.

Yep that's the guy. I've watched his podcast / videos and that dude is passionate, bright and level headed.

Perhaps the 'thug economics' explains why so many stadium brawls occur up in the nosebleeds.

Again, my opinion. Never been a stat guy so I go by the eye test.

Side note. Are you RFIP from the herd?

That being said, I don't think he's as good as Ramsey in any aspect. Nowhere near as physical and doesn't impact the other team's passing game the same way.
The Rams D improved when they got Ramsey and he played some excellent ball.
Peters at his best is pretty darn good. Ramsey at his best is a guy you have to scheme away from.

To expand on that. Plus Peters was a fit in Baltimore and not with the Rams.

Peters thing is to play the qb and the ball and look for opportunities to make plays. He was not very good in man. The Ravens wanted him for what he could do best and set him up to do it--which means they were willing to tailor their defense or at least their coverages around what he could do.

Ramsey can do a lot more things and is an overall better corner and absolutely a better man corner. The Rams don't have to worry about adapting to him in any major way--he fits pretty much whatever it is they want to do in coverage.

I think this is fair. Ramsey is the better overall player but giving away Peters for nothing along with losing two 1st rounders kind of negates the benefit of aquiring the better player. We all know Ramsey will want to be paid big time as well.

PA48 at the herd.

I agree he played better down the stretch but I'm convinced he had a bug up his ass from getting traded again. He played decent his first year in L.A. and then to start the 2019 season he was terrible. Let's see if his motivation from his time in Baltimore last year sticks or dies out. I'm of the mind he's lazy with a piss poor attitude and probably just two of multiple reasons we traded him away. Lazy. Attitude. Low production. Too much gambling. Beat too many times. Jalen Ramsey.

Ramsey is a different beast than Peters. He distorts what an offense does. Peters is opportunistic.. but teams also target him with double moves, etc.

Yep. He cost a lot and needs to play up to his potential to be worth it. If he plays up to his potential, he will be.

Traditionally Peters has been subject to give up big plays even in KC and at times in Washington. But the difference he made on the Ravens D last year was really noticeable.Overall I'm still on the fence about the trade in terms of actual improvement.

Peters and 2 first rounders
Or
Ramsey

Either way there benefits to both scenarios.
