This Goff kid needs (read, MUST HAVE) a strong OLine & Run Game to play like he did versus Minny and KC last season.....
when Goff doesn't have those he plays like he did today, and like versus SF, Pittsburgh, Ravens earlier this year.

Just heard an announcement by him in the terminal at LAX. Welcome, dreams, safety, blah blah, go Rams.
Happy the team has really got their players out there to get their faces and voices around. If if people don’t like them, at least it’s not that they don’t know them.

Goff was not the problem,,,

The problem was the play calling,,,

Only using the 11 personnel grouping....

with eight in the box to stop the run...

Or on passing downs, the Cowboys blitzing...

Even with rushing four,,, our five couldn't stop them...

Putting pressure on Goff to throw it quicker than normal on deeper routes...

Not once that I can remember using the 12 personnel grouping.... for extra help for the O-line....
It made a difference against the Bears and Hags using the two TE set...

But who knows what McVay is thinking.... its just mind boggling....

Goff was a problem on Sunday. Missed easy throws.
Of course, the team was a total shit show, but Goff was bad.

Goff missed several throws early. Don't know what was going on, but that was on him.

Later in the game, I thought his thumb may have been an issue.

With the possible exception of Higbee, not sure anyone on the offense had a good game.

I’m absolutely on board with using a 4th & lower pick to take a shot at a QB.

This off season will be a buyer's market for QB's. Should be able to pick up a quality vet pretty cheaply too.

I wouldn’t spend much on a vet. Not enough space. I think Goff could be much better next year with other changes, but want to take a shot with mid-rounder.

Regardless of Goff, I'd rather see a quality backup than a mid-round flier. I bet there are a few pretty good names out there that would be willing to sign on with the Rams.
