As for your first point, yeah, it is a delicate balance to be funny, glib and sarcastic without being misinterpreted. I've never been a fan of ending my posts with "lol"; however, that would, in most cases, convey to the reader that you are just kidding and not attacking.

As for your second point, hilarious.
