Something to pass the time during preseason...

Here's how the game works. Each clue is the name of 3 people who have played for the Rams. You have to figure out what they have in common (apart from being Rams). For example, if the clue was John Cappelletti, Doug Flutie and Sam Bradford, the answer would be "Heisman Trophy winners drafted by the Rams."

Okay?

So here are the clues:

1. Tom Fears, O.J. Atogwe, Mark Rypien

2. Wayne Gandy, Dale Hatcher, Isaac Bruce

3. Dave Elmendorf, Rod Perry, Cory Littleton

4. Fred Dryer, Terry Crews, Merlin Olsen

5. Kurt Warner, Jamie Martin, Shaun Hill

Good luck!

Fred Dryer, Terry Crews and Merlin were all actors after their careers. But I'm guessing that one might be too easy.

Warner, Martin and Hill were backups before they became starters. Again, maybe there's more because it was easy.

All 15 of those guys have the letter "e" in their names somewhere. Shaun Hill's middle name is Christopher. Bet you didn't know that. 8-)

You pretty much got the Dryer/Crews/Olsen one. They were all regulars on network series (Hunter, Everyone Hates Chris, Father Murphy).

The Warner/Martin/Hill one is more specific... and more interesting!

Yeah, I thought the Warner/Martin/Hill one was too easy. They all played in NFL Europe for the same team. I can't figure out the others. Fears, Otagowe and Rypien were all in different eras. And what do a lineman, receiver and punter have to do with each other? This one's giving me a headache. I need a couple Advil. :? :oops2:

Is that the message board version of “I’m the cool kid in the back of the classroom who doesn’t know the answer but craves attention”?

A recap.

AvengerRam wrote:So here are the clues:

Already answered:

1. Tom Fears, O.J. Atogwe, Mark Rypien = Born offshore.

2. Wayne Gandy, Dale Hatcher, Isaac Bruce =

3. Dave Elmendorf, Rod Perry, Cory Littleton =

4. Fred Dryer, Terry Crews, Merlin Olsen = Former TV stars.

5. Kurt Warner, Jamie Martin, Shaun Hill = Three former Amsterdam Admirals.

I cannot find commonality within these 2 remaining groups. Good questions.
