here's a look at yearly rush yards for most of the big yardage backs from 1990 on, with a few all-time greats thrown in (red text = pro bowl seasons) - gurley will be 29 in the final year of his current contract.

I took notice of the 11 RBs who began their careers at age 21 (like Gurley, #12). Outside of Clinton Portis (who last gained 1,000 yards at age 27), the rest did it at 28 (3) or older....4 at 29 and 3 into their 30's. Not that has anything to do with Gurley. I just take it as a sign he may not be "done" for a number of years.
