I was wondering what was going to happen. CBS airs the major golf tourneys, college B Ball, NFL, 60 Minutes, Price is Right, , etc. A lot of PO'd viewers. AT&T was going to lose a lot of subscribers if they didn't deal with this wisely. I think it's more than just the NFL.

Actually, it was announced ATT and CBS just came to terms. I was about to switch to COX, cuz my wife likes a lot of shows on CBS. I didn't really care.

I had NFL Ticket for a couple of years, but the last 5 years have been going to a local pub which plays all the games. Plus, the rams are on prime time a lot more now that they're a great team.

(Edit - damn Elvis - you are quick)

Just made the call. Got to Customer Loyalty, told them bill was ridiculous and i was seriously considering switching providers.

I got $50 per month for 12 months and $16.50 off for 6 months for a total of $699 for the year...

For those who have cable without CBS...

Just buy a antenna digital box... and it airs for free... just cost of the antenna...

Looks like my good fortune has run out....
Offered me $70 off the price of Sunday Ticket and $12 off my bill for Starz and Showtime, which I never watch.
And my $60 per month discount expired. Wow. This is a bummer!!
$180 per month for Direct tv with no Sunday ticket.

Utility monopolies sucks the money out of wallets. They'll get their one day. If you are an out of towner, you have little choice other than visiting Rams friends or sports bars. For the latter don't forget your Tunity app on your phone.

I'm sure you already know this but did you talk to retention/loyalty and tell them you're seriously considering other options?

Yep.
It’s all good. I’m going to save $120 per month by bundling Xfinity. I’ll have much stronger WiFi and will try the reddit streams I hear about.
My kids don’t even watch tv anymore, they watch everything on their iPads.
Figures though, I’ve had direct tv/Sunday Ticket since 2003, and suffered thru the demise of the GSOT and thru the linehan/spags/Fisher shit show, many years paying full freight on the ticket, and even extra when the mobile app used to cost more.
And now the Rams are great and I have to dump the service. Oh well.
