A "slow time" topic...

What were the greatest plays in Rams history in the following categories:

Greatest Pass
Greatest Catch
Greatest Run (running back)
Greatest Run (non-running back)
Greatest Block
Greatest tackle (behind line of scrimmage)
Greatest tackle (past line of scrimmage)
Greatest interception
Greatest fumble recovery
Greatest forced fumble
Greatest kick return
Greatest punt return
Greatest field goal

Factors to consider include quality of the play, degree of difficulty, "clutch" nature of play, impact on outcome and significance of the game.

Two should be obvious, in my opinion:

Greatest tackle (past line of scrimmage): "The Tackle"
Greatest field goal: Zuerlein's 57 yard game winner in last year's NFC Championship game

Let's take some nominees for some of the others.

A couple more that are fairly obvious, in my mind.

Pass: Game winning TD against Titans in Super Bowl. It actually wasn't Warner's best pass, but it was under heavy pressure and the significance is obvious.

Catch: Ricky Proehl vs. Tampa (NFC Championship game). High DOD, extremely clutch.

I'll update as more hit me.

A candidate for the greatest pass/catch has got to be Everett to Flipper to beat the Giants in OT on 1/7/90.

this one will always be one of my favorites: no timeouts, down by 4 with just over 2 minutes remaining, a 40-yard strike for the come from behind win:

It was the best game I've seen since Nov 17, 1968 ... 50 years and 3 days .... and the 68 game was won on virtually the same exact pass play

( on the link below , the play is at 1:38 into the 4 minute video) .... almost creepy to see that same play.

A few nominees...

Run: Dickerson's 55 yard TD vs. Dallas in 1986 playoffs

Interception: Aeneas Williams' pick-6 against Favre putting the icing on the cake in the 2001 playoff game.

Kickoff return: Ron Brown beats NFL Fasted Man Darrell Green to the end zone by a hair.

Punt return(s): LeRoy Irvin takes back two to the house in thriller against Falcons.

Indeed.

Someone needs to adjust the tracking on their VCR but:

That punt return against the Saints was the first one that popped in my mind for greatest punt return. Ike's catch in the Superbowl has to be the greatest catch. Proehl's catch probably number two. Ferragamo to Waddy that put us in our first Superbowl should get honorable mention.
