The Rams have stayed in touch with hardcore L.A. fans about the uniforms and they're all pretty excited about what they're hearing/seeing:

wouldn't be surprised by a matte finish, gotta keep up with the latest i suppose, wouldn't be my choice first though... i've always liked the deep dark navy, like the practice jerseys they wear some years, including this year, more than the royal blue, but i have to say that the royal and yellow has grown on me the last year or two... white facemasks? hope they ditch them if they go with white horns.

please let it be vinny!

The Rams have always been trendsetters, not a team trying to keep up with change.

I'm a traditionalist who stands by the 'if it ain't broke' rule. That said, the helmet and shoulder horns are 'broke'. Colors and finishes (TB's) not so much.

Best uni in the NFL.. jmo.

what's up with the 100 year anniversary patch?

Thanks. Well for those like me, that might not be good. For those who want change there is reason for encouragement.
Can you elaborate on what he said?

Basically that Demoff didn't seem to be too concerned about changing the uniforms. He is well aware what the fans are saying now. But, Its gonna be a completely new modern look for the new stadium. He said there will be 4 uniforms including the brand new ones and throwbacks. The colors won't be the same, but wont be crazy like red or green.

Vinny looked at me somewhat apologetically, assuming since I was a long time fan that I wanted to keep the old uniforms.

Thanks again max. Color me a bit disappointed.
We all need to prey that Nike doesn't get the last say of too much input.

I don't know what "a completely new modern look" means. What we've heard in the past is that the Rams/Demoff were going to use focus groups to steer this effort. That would mean people other than just Demoff by himself helping with this. Demoff knows that if they get this wrong, there will be a revolt. If they mess with the horns, there will be a revolt.

He can't go off the rails all by himself. Can he?

Not sure. The good news is Demoff grew up a Rams fan so the nostalgic iconic best uniform in the NFL is etched into his brain.
That said, he's a business man who probably has no business making these type decisions. The dude could be colorblind for all we know.

I doubt the NFL would have ever bitched if the horns had suddenly fattened up because they didn't when they shrank. so with the narrowing of the helmet horns over the years w/o correction, it make's me wonder if anyone cares that much or has a clue.

And who knows who will be in those focus groups. Nike? Gawd forbid! :o
Or were those breakfasts part of that process?

Nike is running this. They are the ones taking the data from the focus groups and using it in whatever way they see fit. Look at the Seahawks uniforms. Completely new look. Get ready for something along those lines.

The idea here is attracting new fans in the new stadium. This is about money, not placating the old guard.

I had a discussion with my daughter who does marketing and design for a major national advertising firm in NYC. She thinks I don't get it. She said Nike is an elite group. The Rams should defer to them and stay out of the way. So what do I know, just an old guy who likes the classics.
