"dr.jteeee" has offered first class vintage sports photos on ebay for close to two decades, and (arguably) single-handedly changed the way that vintage game-used sports memorabilia buyers and sellers operate, in that he provided excellent reference material that was almost impossible to find elsewhere (before getty, etc.).

back in the day more than a few nfler's brought their helmet and/or facemask with them to their new team - in the above namath/rams photo he can be seen sporting the same facemask he wore in his last four or so years with the jets, not just the same facemask model, but the same facemask (with taped corners and all), he brought it with him to los angeles.
what's interesting about joe's mask is that it was practically prehistoric at the time he wore it, it was a "bolt-on" mask from a decade earlier, the nfl had long since moved on to "clip-on" masks which provided shock absorption and easier access to an injured player's head/face.
namath wore the more modern "clip-on" version of that mask (model jop [jaws oral protection]) for a short while, but it proved too big/bulky, so he went with the smaller, ancient version... the reason he switched to the jop model in the first place was to protect his once broken jaw.
anyway, hadl brought his skinny dungard facemask with him from the bolts, and ferragamo took his dungard with him to the montreal alouettes.
