February 19: Franchise/Transition Tag Period Begins

February 26-March 4: Scouting Combine

March 5: Franchise/Transition Tag Period Ends

March 11-13: Teams may negotiate with outside free agents (aka the "keep refreshing Twitter to get updates" period)

March 13: Free agent signing period begins/Cap year begins

April 25-27: Draft

June 2: Teams can release as post-June 1 cuts (saving on cap)

July 15: Deadline to sign long-term deals w/franchise/transition tag players.

August 1: HOF Game/preseason starts

offseason is soooo long.... and the days from here till preseason are just scattered with build ups that are so anticlimactic...

but like every year, ill eat em up...

last year may have been an offseason anomaly... hope not..

here's to looking forward...

True this will be a short off season comparatively.

Another key date is May 5th. FA signings after the 5th don't count in the compensation formula...

Maybe that's what Suh is waiting for

a few other key dates...

April 15-28: Phase l - Voluntary
Classroom, strength and conditioning, rehab (if on-field, coaches are not allowed).

April 29- May 19: Phase ll - Voluntary
On-field workouts (coaches allowed), player instruction, drills - no team drills, no live contact, offense and defense must practice separately.

May 20- June 16: Phase lll (OTA) - Voluntary
10 organized team activities allowed, scrimmages w/o contact.

June 11-13: Minicamp - Mandatory
