He didn't ask for a trade but I'm pretty sure at least a couple teams have called them about it. And they would have to at least listen if they want to do their due diligence.

Not enough to say, “has officially requested” imho like they did.

This happens frequently with news, when the rush to get the story out takes primacy over confirming what has happened; it’s often why updates on a news story are done throughout the day (the headline and subheading can look very different for a story that was released in the morning, later on) along with corrections being issued.
