He was already a good college special teamer and that was one of the reasons they drafted him. Snead said he was their highest rated special teams coverage guy in this draft. This draft seemed to focus on a couple of things, and one of them was special teams. Skowronek is another example of a guy they drafted because he was already a good special teamer. Rodrigue has written about this:
