I think we are seeing that this type of offense can run into some real challenges at times. Goff didn't have the best game but look at what happened to Rodgers yesterday. Had one of his worst games as a pro. And that Packers offense was rolling before yesterday. Much better than the Rams have looked this year. But they still ran into the wrong matchup and fell completely off the map and got spanked.

Wish the Rams wouldn't have to deal with that but it looks like it's just one of those things.

it's tough to tell who's real and who's not at this point...

before this weekend rodgers had faced defenses that ranked 31, 30, 29 and 22 in offensive points allowed - the bucs ranked 5th.

but, yeah, it's not like there's a lot of teams out there that have been crushing it week in and week out... josh allen looked unstoppable only to get dominated by the titans, brady has been uneven at best, and the chiefs who were an absolute offensive scoring juggernaut last season barely ranked in the top 10 headed into week 6.

anyway, as i mentioned before, the increased occurrences of the rams scoring 20 or less over the last couple of years is a bit unsettling imo.

games in which teams scored 20 or fewer points as a percentage of total games played:

I have to assume it’s the defenses we have faced more than anything else??? Some games the offense has been simply off, regardless of opponent. That last inconsistency is troubling.

There is a lot of season left to see where the Rams will peak as it relates to this season’s potential. We can only hope the the offense really improves and gets much more consistent in scoring 28+ per game. I don’t think the defense has the run stopping, short pass stopping, or tackling ability to stay ranked in the top 5-10 if the offense isn’t scoring a lot and making the opposition more one dimensional.

The Rams definitely seem like a team that needs to be playing with a lead. If I was in charge, that would be job #1 of each game.

It is hard to figure out though. The running game seems fine. The o-line seems better. The receivers are healthy. Goff is doing better. All the pieces are there for the offense to be improved, not inconsistent or worse.

you need to score more points than the other guy every week.... or at least look capable of it if you want to give fans hope.

Basically, if the Rams can have a lead at halftime, they are almost unbeatable. Can’t count on that. They simply have to be able to come from behind and win. They came close in Buffalo. They had their chances last night. Unless and until they demonstrate that ability, their margin for error is extremely thin. I think they have the talent. It’s all about consistency at this point.

Oh, and to never wear the all blue unis again. Lol.

I remember them talking about what Saleh said. The Rams ran a whole lot of bootlegs in the last game and was successful with it. He wanted to adjust to play the bootleg. I don't know of what they were doing forced the Rams to abandon it. Or if it McVay figured they would be looking for it and didn't call it much. Whatever they did worked. We never adjusted to it.

The Rams inexplicably never tried any bootlegs so we dont know. There was nothing to adjust too. I think McVay felt that with the Niner pass rush muted with injury it wasnt needed, but I think it get Jared more into a game early. Goff is good on the move.
