I was in the backwoods of Montana fishing last weekend and didn't see the game. I noticed on the ESPN box score, that Sloman was 1/2 on field goals. What happened? Was it his fault? This guy has worried me from Day One.

Kicked a 53/54 yarder (I forget which) into the wind and it missed.

I actually put that one on the coach. They should not have kicked there.

That doesn't tell us anything about Sloman either way. But I put that one miss on the coach.

Yeah the wind was swirling and in his face. The kick looked straight and long enough when he left his foot but it hooked to the left pretty bad in the wind.

Honestly, I think we still don't know what we have in Sloman. He hasn't made any difficult ones. But he's starting the make the ones he should make. And he's a rookie. Maybe he'll start making the longer ones? He's got enough leg for them. But you could probably say that about all kickers these days. I still think they chose the wrong guy. Time will tell.

His kick offs bother me too aj but I am worried we are going to need him on a long FG to win a game or 2 for us. Color me nervous!

I dont disagree at all, but I can live with a 50+ miss here and there (as long as it is not a game winner lol). But being short on kickoffs with the Rams weak coverage, seems like a risk we shouldnt be taking...

High and inside the 5 can be great depending on the teams returner. Need the hang time though or it can backfire fast.

Thanks for the updates. Seems like the jury is definitely still out on Sloman.

Yup. The bigger questions is "2020 Sloman > 2020 Greg the leg"?
