Good news, sports fans: NFL Game Pass and NBA League Pass are currently free

The cries of sports fans around the country have been heard.

Both the NFL and the NBA announced on Wednesday that their digital viewing platforms will be free for at least the next month. The NBA’s League Pass will be free until April 22, and the NFL’s Game Pass will be free until May 31. Usually League Pass costs $129.99 a year, and Game Pass comes in at $99.99 a season.

That sound you hear right now is millions of sports-starved fans cheering and celebrating, then immediately running to their phones and computers to sign up.

Game Pass has everything you need to relive the recent glory days of your favorite team. You can watch every preseason, regular season, playoff, and Super Bowl game from 2009 to 2019. You can also watch NFL original programming like “Hard Knocks,” and relive 2019’s truly bizarre Antonio Brown foot freezing incident. There are also 45-minute condensed games and breakdowns of game-winning plays from actual NFL players.

With League Pass, you can watch every game from the not-yet-complete 2019-2020 season and relive Zion Williamson’s magical debut and some of LeBron James’ most age-defying dunks. The NBA is also offering an “expansive archive of classic games and content.”

Both Game Pass and League Pass are available on pretty much every device you can think of, like phones, tablets, game systems, and streaming boxes. According to the NBA’s press release, you can activate your free League Pass subscription by logging into your account on the NBA website. You can sign up for Game Pass right on the NFL Game Pass site, where the subscription cost has already been changed to $0.00.

Just bumping this in case anyone missed. It's a great way to get through the quarantine. Totally free, any game from 2009 until now. Just started watching the season opener from 2009 against Seattle. Donnie Avery fumbles the opening kickoff, Rams intercept Hasslebeck in the end zone, get a couple of penalties and go 3 and out...fun times.

I didn't see the first post and was shocked it was a week ago. Lucky though. Discovered accidentally Game Pass was free. Thanks for posting it though Mokler! Really good to tell everyone!! Been enjoying Rams games for a few days now. Tired of all the bad news. Bingeing shows eventually gets tiresome. Throw in some Rams games and it helps. I recommend it.

Alrighty then. Queuing up the MNF game against the Chiefs aka Jared Goff is a goddamn samurai game aka Football in LA will never work game.

Even Tessitore and Booger couldn’t ruin that.

Top 3 watches for me were that KC game, the Minnesota game from week 4 and the Seattle game from week 15 (2017). Now I'm gonna watch some "big games". ;)

Just decided to rewatch game 1 of 2017. Robert Woods first game as a Ram. Whitworth, Watkins. Everett. Etc. 90+degrees in L.A.. The Rams came out in a two tight end set and ran their first few plays like that. Goff looked good. Z didn't miss the FG. Just realized, don't we take the ball away from Indy early? Yeah, here it comes.

Yup, 10-0 Rams!!

Only guy who started that day on D and is still on the Rams roster is Brockers!! ;)

You know, we ought to see who's interested in "Gamedaying" a selected game. If enough people can set a time and agree on a game, would pass some time. And we wouldn't have to worry about somebody being 30 seconds behind!!! And we'd obviously pick a game in which we wouldn't have been disappointed. :D

Tonights game:

Week 9, 2017. The third game in a four week span with the bye week mixed in. First to Jacksonville where we beat them 27-17. Then to London where we beat the Cards 33-0. Then the bye week. Then the 1-6 Gints, which a lot of experts though to be a trap game after all that travel.

Rams 51- NYG 17
Gurley had 59 yards rushing on 16 carries (3.7 ypc for those counting.....Canuck!!! :D ;) )
Goff had 311 yards on 22 pass attempts (14.1 ypa)
Nary a receiver had more than 70 yards.
Woods 4-70; Kupp 3-54, Gurley 2-45, Watkins 1-67, Everett 1-44, Cooper 1-9, Higbee 1-8.....

Man that offense was flying. On back to back series Goff hit Woods on that short pass he took 51 yards on 3rd and 33!!! The next series he dropped a dime to Watkins for a 67 yard TD. We knew then this offense was really, really good.

Donald had a strip sack on NY's first possession and recovered a fumble on NY's 3rd possession. TruJo had a pick in the 2nd and the route was on!!!
