They couldn't get their own medical on him and weren't satisfied they could make a decision based on what they were provided.

One of the limitations of this.
And.. who do you think knows Brockers ankle situation better?

So whatever they did see spooked them to the point that they backed out of a deal. Got it. Nothing to worry about then.

Remember Saffold didnt pass his physical in Oakland then came back here and was solid. Hoping history will repeat itself with MB..

And both teams over paid in their offers. The difference is, we gave Saffold what the Raiders offered (or more?). With Brockers what could be a 7 mil 1 year deal isn't anything like the guarantees Baltimore offered.

All I know is, that article has everyone talking about how the Rams fell apart. And losing Brockers was supposed to be part of how we fell apart along with a few others. So we can assume him staying is a good thing.

Much more important (at least to me) than the money is the roster spot and the mentality moving forward.

One year deals can go both ways, they can also turn into two year deals.

So I’m disappointed with the approach and the propensity of this organization to over value players.

You can like a player...don’t love him. Especially when he’s been central to an underperforming Unit.

It always comprises your ability to move forward.

Stats...pffftt

Team X plays a division game and allows 6 ypc which results in a loss

Team X then plays an out of conference team and only allows 3 ypc.

So after two games the “stats” say they’re allowing 3 ypc on the ground.

Simplistic yes, but effective nonetheless.

Too much emphasis with some on stats.

The Rams have been known as a finesse team on both sides of the ball far too long.

As Vermeil said after a SB win, “We need to get tougher”

That applies here.

Good points. Except for the fact 6.0 + 3.0 / 2 = 4.5, not 3.0 but your point is understood. As far as stats we can throw out ALL of them. Sometimes they point to a positive and sometimes they point to a negative. Sometimes they point to nothing. The bottom line is WHEN.....a team that steps up in the most crucial moments will win more often than not, though the stats might not indicate such success. A team could give up 5.0 yards on the ground in a game and when it matters most, stop the other team from gaining 2 or 3 on the ground. Which is why many fans sometimes rely on stats too much. Did the team win?

lol says the guy who introduced stars into the discussion.

Anyway a real tough SOB consistently tells me if a team can dominate you on the ground they can take away your will.

Its physical smash mouth football and you’re repeatedly hitting the guy across from you in the mouth.

Go look at Fluker and the Seahawks lineman’s comments about the Rams front after they hung 200+ on them.

“All they want to do is rush the passer”
