Not sure i get your point.

If they go to 17 games, any new contract would reflect that.

But what if you're playing on an existing contract and they go to 17 games?

They said they'd increase that value by the amount a player was getting per game up to 250k. So if you're making more than $4 mil a year, you'd be getting less for the 17th game that you did for the previous 16.

That's the part they changed, now there would be no cap. If you make $16 per year and they go to 17 games, your existing contract would go to $17 mil not $16,250,000...
